1. IT/GPS Technician (Lusaka & Kitwe – 2 Positions)
Reporting To: Operations Manager
Job Purpose
To install, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot IT systems and GPS tracking equipment to ensure reliable technology support and efficient fleet monitoring operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain GPS tracking devices in vehicles and equipment.
- Monitor GPS systems to ensure proper functioning and accurate reporting.
- Troubleshoot and repair GPS hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Provide basic IT support including computer setup, software installation, and network troubleshooting.
- Maintain records of installations, maintenance, and system updates.
- Train users on proper use of GPS tracking systems and basic IT tools.
- Ensure system security, data backup, and compliance with company IT policies.
- Liaise with service providers and vendors for technical support and equipment procurement.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of IT and GPS systems.
Qualifications and Skills (IT/GPS Technician)
- Diploma or Certificate in Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience in GPS tracking systems installation and maintenance will be an added advantage.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and basic networking.
- Ability to work independently and respond promptly to technical issues.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
