We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Safari Lodge Manager with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in lodge or hospitality management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the lodge, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining high operational standards. This is a live-in position based in the Kafue Game Management Area.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all daily lodge operations (front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, maintenance, and guiding operations).
• Ensure outstanding guest service and personalized safari experiences.
• Manage lodge staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Maintain high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Monitor budgets, control costs, and manage stock and procurement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, wildlife, and tourism regulations.
• Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and resolve any issues professionally.
• Oversee marketing efforts and maintain strong relationships with agents and stakeholders.
• Ensure smooth coordination of safari activities and guest logistics.
Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in safari lodge or hospitality management.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Strong financial and administrative management experience.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of wildlife conservation and safari operations is an added advantage.
• Ability to work in a remote environment.
• Willingness to live on-site (accommodation provided).
• Relevant hospitality qualification preferred.
