Job Title: EdTech Officer, Zambia
Contract Duration: 1-year contract (with possibility of extension)
Location: Camara Zambia Hub, Lusaka with frequent travel to schools and locations across Zambia as required for activities

Role Overview
Camara Zambia's EdTech Officer will work alongside our team to support the effective planning, implementation, and reporting of training and technical activities in schools. With the required knowledge, skills and experience from both an educational and technical perspective, the EdTech officer will support the delivery of projects to ensure the best possible outcomes for beneficiaries. The EdTech Officer will be engaged in (1) Planning and delivery of ICT training programs for teachers and school leaders (2) Ensuring collection of data and activity feedback in line with our MEAL Framework (3) Completing high quality reports on projects (4) Working closely with management to ensure Camara's education initiatives are in line with Government policies and frameworks, and (5) Supporting the technical activities of the hub when required.
Responsibilities
1. Training Delivery & Capacity Building
- Plan and deliver training in line with Camara Training Framework
- Train teachers and school leaders on ICT integration in education
- Identify school training needs and recommend appropriate programs
- Develop and deliver new training content (e.g., AI-focused learning)
2. Educational Technology Implementation and Technical Support
- Vet, Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, software, and networks for schools
- Assist with school quotations and technical planning
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide on-site support for teachers
- Review and implement digital learning tools in local school contexts
- Assist in development and piloting of Camara's digital learning platforms
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Develop and enhance relationships with the Ministry of Education Zambia and school leadership
- Promote Camara's organisational vision and adoption of EdTech solutions for the education sector in Zambia
- Collaborate with Camara's internal teams in other countries (e.g., training, product development, education teams)
4. Planning, Reporting & Administration
- Plan and implement all training activities for Camara Zambia
- Prepare training reports after each activity
- Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual plans
- Maintain training schedules and ensure school inclusion
- Manage activity budgets and retirements
5.Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting:
- Conduct M&E activities for Camara Zambia, including survey preparation, completion of school visits, review and analysis of the collected data, and reporting in Line with Camara's MEAL Framework.
- Monitor and analyse information and data around equipment usage in schools and its impact on students to inform strategic decisions and continuous improvement.
- Contribute towards the tracking and reporting of Camara Zambia’s monthly and annual KPIs.
- Contribute towards monthly, quarterly, and annual impact reporting.
General:
- Assist and support other Camara staff with various elements of operational activity, such as vetting, sales, technical support, and marketing when required.
- Contribute towards the planning and application for project funding and donor reporting.
- Ensure that all administrative reporting is recorded with accuracy.
- Promote a positive relationship with schools, organisations and all stakeholders to Camara operations;
- Act with integrity and uphold the Camara standards of transparency and accountability at all times
- Promote the Camara brand at all appropriate opportunities.

- Job requirements:
- Degree in ICT or Education with Professional ICT Qualification (Essential)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in ICT, Education and Training
- Demonstrated experience engaging with and developing relationships with the Ministry of General Education, Donors and Key Stakeholders
- Good knowledge and understanding of a range of technologies to support learning and teaching including experience in the development and design of e-learning platforms
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and evaluate their potential in terms of application to learning and teaching, particularly Ai
- Excellent communication and reporting skills- both written and verbal
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of planning, collating and analysing data and information for M&E and reporting
- Proficient in the installation, use, and maintenance of ICT Hardware and Software
- Commitment to values and ethos of Camara Education
- Experience of utilising AI in education would be an advantage.
