The Head of Sales is responsible for developing and executing the company’s sales strategy to drive revenue growth, expand market share, leading a high performing sales team and achieving business targets. The role oversees the sales team, manages key client relationships, and ensures effective sales performance across all channels.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the company’s business objectives.
• Lead, supervise, and motivate the sales team to achieve set targets.
• Set sales targets, KPIs, and performance standards for the department.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and provide regular reports to management.
• Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and areas for growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
• Oversee the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and pipeline reports.
• Ensure effective territory management and market penetration strategies.
• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to support sales initiatives.
• Review and improve sales processes, systems, and customer acquisition strategies.
• Coach and develop sales staff through training, performance management, and mentorship.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sales practices.

Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. An MBA would be an added advantage
• Professional qualification in Sales/Marketing is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5–8 years relevant sales experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• Experience in team leadership and performance management.
