Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Truck Mechanic to maintain and repair fleet vehicles supporting crusher plant operations. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience with Chinese truck brands and strong diesel engine expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and plant vehicles
- Perform routine servicing (oil changes, lubrication, filters, tires)
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and braking systems
- Attend on-site and field breakdowns to minimize downtime
- Ensure all vehicles comply with safety and operational standards
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
Requirements
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience as a truck mechanic (preferably in Africa/Zambia)
- Mandatory experience with Chinese truck brands
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and auto-electrical systems
- Ability to work in demanding site conditions
- Basic technical certification or equivalent experience
