Job Purpose
To develop and implement marketing strategies that increase student enrolment, enhance the University’s brand, and support income generation through short courses and partnerships.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual student recruitment plans targeting school leavers, mature entry, and postgraduate markets
- Coordinate digital marketing: social media, website content, SEO, email campaigns, and online ads
- Organize campus tours, school visits, career expos, and open days
- Manage university branding: brochures, banners, radio/TV adverts, photography, video content
- Build relationships with secondary schools, NGOs, corporates, and government for partnerships
- Track enrolment data, campaign ROI, and prepare monthly marketing reports
- Support alumni relations and fundraising communication
- Ensure all marketing complies with HEA, ZICTA, and Zambia advertising standards
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or Public Relations
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in marketing, preferably in higher education, media, or service sector
Skills: Social media management, Canva/Adobe Suite, Google Analytics, CRM systems, excellent copywriting
Knowledge: Understanding of Zambian education landscape, HEA regulations, digital marketing trends
Attributes: Creative, target-driven, excellent presenter, willing to travel, strong interpersonal skills
Added advantage: Experience with student recruitment systems, event management, photography/videography
