Job Title: Insurance Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Insurance Manager to oversee the Company's insurance portfolio, manage insurance-related risks, and ensure adequate coverage of the Company's assets, operations, and exposure. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating insurance policies, timely handling claims, and maintaining effective relationships with insurance providers and brokers.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling all insurance and claims activities
- Gathering and assessing all information pertaining to insurance and risk in relation to the company’s various functions.
- Negotiating and liaising with various stake holders to achieve best results and minimize insurance costs.
- Reporting and handling of all accidents and incidents in line with insurance procedures, requirements and timelines
- Act as the link between the company and insurance providers to manage premiums, outstanding claims and pricing
- To advise the company on the protection of underlying assets and claim process
- Develop and implement the Company's insurance management strategies and policies
- Coordinate and manage insurance claims from notification through settlement.
- Monitor policy renewals and ensure timely premium payments.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and recommend appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Maintain accurate insurance records and documentation.
- Prepare weekly reports on insurance matters for Management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant insurance regulations and company policies.
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned to you by Executive Management
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in insurance management, risk management, or a similar role.
- Sound knowledge of insurance principles, claims management, and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with the Zambian insurance regulatory framework.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
