Advanced Management Services is seeking a skilled and innovative Senior Sous Chef with expertise in a range of pastries, international cuisines, and traditional Zambian dishes. We are looking for someone who is adaptive, creative, and committed to upholding our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Position: Senior Sous Chef
Reporting to: General Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present a variety of international dishes, including assorted pastries, gourmet meals, and traditional Zambian cuisine.
- Strictly follow SOPs across all kitchen operations.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure consistent quality and service.
- Innovate and develop menu items, aligning with our culinary standards.
- Lead, train, and coordinate a team of 4-5 assistant chefs across different kitchen sections.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven experience as a chef in a busy environment, with at least 3-5 years in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of pastries, gourmet dishes, and traditional Zambian cooking techniques.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- In-depth knowledge of food costing and portion control.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
