Desired Qualifications
Grade 12 School Certificate or equivalent.
Basic literacy and numeracy skills to understand operating manuals, safety signs, and work instructions.
Valid MEWP Operator Certificate from a recognized training provider (e.g., IPAF or an equivalent accredited provider). The training includes both theory and practical assessment.
Working at Heights certification (advantageous).
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) (advantageous).
First Aid certification (advantageous).
Emergency rescue training (advantageous).
Basic Rigging and Slinging certification (advantageous).
Desired Experience
At least 1–3 years' experience operating MEWPs in construction, mining, industrial, or maintenance environments.
Experience operating: Articulating boom lifts, Telescopic boom lifts
Key Responsibilities
The Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Operator will be responsible for safely operating powered access equipment to lift workers and materials to elevated work areas.
Perform pre-use equipment checks, position and operate the platform correctly, follow site safety procedures, and support construction, maintenance, and installation activities at heights.
Maintain total safety compliance and understand DSTI daily activities, related hazards and control measures; and only operate the Cherry Picker when sure that you are physically fit to do so.
The equipment is clean and operating in an environment where the general housekeeping is up to required standards.
Always make use of safety harness equipment when operating the equipment.
