Job Description
Classic Steel Fabrication Ltd is inviting applications from hardworking, disciplined and motivated individuals to join our growing production team.
We are recruiting experienced Welders and General Workers who are interested in learning welding and steel fabrication.
1. Experienced Welders
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate steel windows, doors, gates, staircases and other steel structures.
- Cut, weld, grind and assemble steel components.
- Interpret measurements, fabrication drawings and specifications.
- Ensure high-quality workmanship and proper finishing.
- Complete assigned projects within production deadlines.
- Maintain workshop safety standards.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in welding and steel fabrication.
- Ability to take accurate measurements and interpret fabrication drawings.
- Experience in MIG or arc welding.
- Good understanding of fabrication tools and equipment.
- Must be reliable, disciplined and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Relevant trade qualifications will be an added advantage.
2. General Workers (Willing to Learn Welding)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced welders with daily fabrication activities.
- Support cutting, grinding, sanding and preparation of steel materials.
- Assist with loading, offloading and movement of materials.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness and organisation.
- Learn basic welding and fabrication techniques under supervision.
- Follow workplace safety procedures and instructions.
- Participate in practical training and skills development activities.
Requirements:
- No previous welding experience required.
- Must be willing and eager to learn welding and steel fabrication.
- Must be physically fit and capable of performing manual work.
- Must demonstrate discipline, punctuality and a positive attitude.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team.
- Must be committed to personal development and learning new skills.
Preferred Residential Areas
Preference will be given to candidates residing in or near:
- Kamwala South
- Bauleni
- Chalala
- Chilenje
Applicants from other areas of Lusaka are also encouraged to apply.
