Job Summary:

Responsible for handling cash, card, and other payment transactions accurately while providing efficient customer service. The cashier maintains accurate financial records, processes sales and payments, and follows company procedures relating to cash handling, safety, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive and process cash, card, mobile money, and other customer payments.
Issue receipts, invoices, and other relevant transaction documents.
Accurately record daily sales and payment transactions.
Balance the cash register and reconcile cash and electronic payments at the end of each shift.
Prepare and submit daily cash reports to the supervisor or accounts department.
Handle customer inquiries regarding prices, payments, receipts, and account balances.
Maintain proper records of transactions and support documents.
Identify and report discrepancies, shortages, or suspected fraudulent transactions.
Safeguard company cash, receipts, and other financial documents.
Follow company financial-control procedures and authorization requirements.
Work closely with the sales, accounts, stores, and operations departments.
Maintain confidentiality of company and customer financial information.
Follow all company health, safety, environmental, and security procedures applicable to a petrochemical environment.
Perform other duties assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

Grade 12 certificate or equivalent; a certificate/diploma in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is an advantage，with ZiCA registration/membership is a plus.
Previous cashier, retail, accounts, or customer-service experience.
Good numerical and record-keeping skills.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and point-of-sale/accounting systems.
Honest, reliable, organized, and attentive to detail.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure and handle cash responsibly.
Knowledge of basic accounting and reconciliation procedures is an advantage.
Willingness to comply with workplace safety requirements.
