INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS FOR POSITION OF LECTURER

The Regional Psychosocial Support Initiative (REPSSI) is a non-profit organisation working in 13 Eastern and Southern African countries offering innovative programmes. REPSSI’s offerings are aimed at enhancing the capacity of the social services workforce to provide effective mental health and psychosocial support services to children and youth. The organization is currently delivering a Diploma in Psychosocial Support for Early Childhood Development that is accredited with Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training Authority (TEVETA). REPSSI therefore seeks to recruit self-motivated, experienced and suitably qualified individuals to fill the position of lecturers in the following courses:

  • Early Childhood Development Principles and Practice
  • Child Protection, Safeguarding and Policy
  • Child Development
  • Health and Wellbeing in Early Childhood Development
  • Counselling Theory and Practice
  • Sociology of Early Childhood Development
  • Care and Support for Children with Special Needs
  • Safe and Supportive Environment for Early Childhood Development
  • Psychosocial and Mental Wellbeing of the Primary Caregiver
  • Psychosocial Support in Early Childhood Development
  • Play in Early Childhood Development
  • Research Methods
  • Male Involvement in Child Care
  • Case Management in Early Childhood Development

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from a recognized University with expertise in two or more off the above listed courses.
  • Teaching methodology qualification from recognized institution (Must have)
  • Valid TEVETA accreditation certificate (Must have)
  • Minimum of 3 years lecturing work experience in a similar field
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite Applications
  • Must be Lusaka-Based

  • Cover letter indicating not more than two courses for which they are applying for
  • Certified qualification certificates, teaching methodology certificate and TEVETA accreditation certificate
  • Detailed CV with at least three traceable references
  • Police clearance certificate
