Dear Aunty,
Please help me. I applied to a certain organisation some time last year and was selected for interviews. I attended the interviews but wasn’t selected for the position. Fast forward to 2016, I applied to the same organisation and received a call to attend interviews. The thing is I am so afraid because if they recognise me they might get angry. But my application was good enough to get a phone call to attend interviews. I am so confused. Should I go to the interview?

Yes! If you want the job you need to go to the interview. I am yet to meet an employer who invited a candidate to interview and then was angry with them for attending!
The assumption that you were not good enough first time is incorrect. There could be any number of reasons as to why you were not chosen first time around – assuming anyone was selected at all. Sometimes employers run a recruitment campaign but do not go through with actually hiring a candidate due to a change in business circumstances. Alternatively, perhaps the candidate they chose turned out to be the wrong one. Hence the reason for re-advertising the job and selecting you for another interview.
If you do not go then you will never know if you would have been selected. Remember that this interview gives you a second chance to impress so attend and give it your best try.
