Job description:
Key Responsibilities
- Must be able to run maintenance works in the workshop and pit area, ensuring all parts and materials are available.
- Searches and sorts through the CMMS backlog to ensure all identified backlog work is included in the scheduled planned work.
- Monitor warehouse stock levels and Prioritize tasks when planning corrective and Preventive maintenance works
- Organizes all resources required to execute the maintenance, including in-house labour, contractors, tech support, rental equipment, specialty tools, consumables, etc.
- Identifies any potential consumable materials issues and works with supply chain to ensure everything required is on site prior to maintenance work.
- Ensure all planned works are done and closed out in the CMMS system.
- Understands and complies with all company policies and procedures.
- Coordinate team to ensure all safety compliance targets are met.
- Ensure all legal appointments in the section are done in the Mining regulation logbook.
- Other duties as given by Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Minimum Grade 12 Certificate
- A minimum of a Technician certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair (A Degree in Mechanical Engineering will be an added advantage)
- Valid Driving License class B manual or better
- Holder of current Valid EIZ membership
- Registered Engineer with Engineering Registration Board ERB
- Ability to hold a MR207 or 210(1b) Appointment.
Experience
- Ability to read and understand mechanical detail drawings, technical instructions manuals, parts books.
- 5 or more years’ experience in Mobile Maintenance and H.E.R
- Ability to Generate and use Reports made in Power BI.
- Ability to Prepare Project Plans and Monitor Progress.
- Demonstrable Experience leading Teams of Artisans and Technicians in maintenance works.
- Ability to understand and interpret oil laboratory analysis results.
- Experience in Condition based Maintenance.
- knowledge of Microsoft Office products including MS Projects and CMMS software such as PRONTO.
- Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in performing RCFAs and ICAMs.
- Experience with Leadership training programs will be an added advantage.
- Experience with Komatsu (Graders, dozers, Loaders) and Liebherr (dozers) will be an added advantage.
