POSITION: DEBTORS ACCOUNTANT
LOCATION: LUSAKA
Goldman Insurance Limited is one of the private Insurance Companies to start operations in the liberalized Zambia Insurance market starting from 1992. Over 20 years, we have acquired a reputation of sound underwriting and claims settlement practices being ever conscious of the fact that we are custodians of public money.
Goldman hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position DEBTORS ACCOUNTANT to be based at Head Office in Lusaka. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following functions,
- Month-end reporting (Debtors and Minor subs)
- Ensure all Debtors entries are correctly processed monthly
- Preparation of month end reconciliations
- Reconciliations are completed on a monthly basis by the agreed deadline dates
- All reconciling items identified are promptly investigated and resolved
- Take measures to effective debt collection
Desired Qualifications
- ACCA or CIMA or part qualified
- Member of a professional institution such as ZICA
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in an accountant role
- Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems
- Previous working experience in Insurance Company would be advantageous
