Heifer International Zambia has received funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) through the Ministry of Agriculture towards the implementation of the Agriculture Productivity and Market Enhancement Project (APMEP) in Central, Lusaka and Southern Provinces of Zambia. The project intends to apply part of the funds to procure 30 quality breeding in-calf dairy cattle and 500 village chickens for the purpose of restocking in the provinces.

Heifer International Zambia now invites bids from eligible and reputable suppliers to supply and deliver in-calf heifers jersey heifers to Chongwe (15) in Lusaka Province, Gwembe (15) in Southern Province and 500 village chickens to Serenje in Central Province.

PLEASE NOTE: The supplied in-calf heifers should be pure jerseys, conform to breed standards, aged between 15 to 24 months, weigh above 300Kg and 3 – 6 months pregnant while the village chickens (450 hens & 50 cockerels) should be aged between 5 and 6 months (point of lay) and must have a live weight of ≥1.5 kg.

Sealed bids clearly marked “Tender for Dairy Cattle” OR “Tender for Village Chickens” must be dropped in the TENDER BOX provided at Heifer International Zambia Office in Lusaka OR online submission

Bid opening Date: Monday, December 10th 2018 at 10:00hrs at Heifer Zambia offices in Lusaka.
