Mini Miracles Daycare Center

We are seeking an energetic, experienced preschool teacher to join our school. In this position, you will be responsible for the early education needs of our students. You must have a background in early childhood developmental education and able to plan relatable and age-appropriate lessons to teach children through a variety of learning exercises.

Preschool Teacher Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow a curriculum which will teach children fundamentals in shapes, colors, numbers, and letters
  • Read stories and lead students through alphabet and letter recognition
  • Engage in activities that encourage learning and age-appropriate development
  • Monitor students’ playtime and physical activities
  • Work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of materials
  • Supervise and instruct student artwork, writing, and craft projects
  • Prepare for lessons by gathering materials or setting up activities
  • Oversee student lunch; clean spaces before and after eating
  • Enforce school-wide safety procedures, disciplinary codes, and rewards
  • Supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch, and play periods
  • Ensure space and shared toys are clean, sanitized, and orderly
  • Engage and encourage students to use their language skills; develop social skills and manners
  • Document student developments and progress to share with parents
  • Perform administrative tasks (filing, record keeping, etc.) as needed

Preschool Teacher Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school degree; certification as Certified Childcare Professional from accredited source, associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, teaching, or related field; diploma degree or higher preferred
  • Must meet all state licensure requirements
  • Able to serve as a positive role model and leader
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Patient and compassionate to young children’s needs and emotions
