Zambeef Products PLC is the largest integrated cold chain food products and agribusiness company in Zambia and one of the largest in the Southern Africa region.  It is involved in the primary production, processing, distribution and retailing of beef, chicken, pork, eggs, dairy, fish, flour, stock feed and day-old chicks throughout Zambia and the surrounding region.

1. OPERATIONS MANAGER – KITWE PROCESSING (01)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Responsible for shift by shift basis for the storage/movement of products in quality state.
  • Assisting in calculating optimum re-order levels for specific inventory items from different suppliers to different outlets.
  • Performing periodic quality checks on all products, frozen, chilled and dry stored products.
  • Ensuring the products are kept in sound condition at all times.
  • Planning and executing the sales and distribution function of the business unit.
  • Planning stock ordering and distribution efficiently.
  • Inducting new employees.
  • Human capital requirement/sufficiency planning.
  • Planning adequately for bi-monthly and weekly stock take.
  • Planning, assigning and directing work to all team members.
  • Ensuring that the machinery and equipment used have the ability to produce goods and services for the client at an acceptable standard.
  • Determining the types of equipment needed to fulfil the organizational quality policy.
  • Formulating suggestions on how to make optimum use of the resources.

The Required Qualifications are:      

  • Grade 12 certificate with 5 credits.
  • Diploma in Sales and Distribution/Supply and Purchasing.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a similar role.

The Required Attributes Include:

  • Proficient knowledge in Pastel Sage

2. SECURITY OFFICER – NOVATEK LUSAKA (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and success points, permitting entry.
  • Obtains help by sounding alarms
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedure, restraining trespasses.
  • Make rounds to check doors and other access points
  • Monitor closed-circuit security feeds to identify potential threats.
  • Deny entry to unauthorized people
  • Provide entry to authorized people.
  • Question and detain people who enter the premises without authorization.

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Certificate in Relevant Field

  • Knowledge of community resources (safety, emergency, social services)
  • Ability to work well with staff and public
  • Ability to interact with a diverse population
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to act calmly and with composure in difficult situations

3. CREDITORS ACCOUNTANT – NOVATEK LUSAKA (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Batching up of supplier documents and preparation of payment requisitions and submitting to signatories for authorization.
  • Ensuring all supplier invoices and payments have been accurately posted.
  • Ensure accurate allocation and descriptions on all expense transactions.
  • Ensure system access and training to all staff entering supplier data.
  • Preparation of supplier’s reconciliation at the end of each month.
  • Send regular external supplier confirmations and ensure these are returned and filed.
  • Report on supplier age analysis and all account variances with suppliers monthly.
  • Making follow-ups with internal users and stores department on all supplier’s pre-payments
  • To ensure all GRNs and Invoices are received and posted in time.
  • Prepare a report on all pre-payments to ensure a monthly provision are raised for these
  • Compile monthly VAT report and submit to Zambeef Products PLC 3 days before due date.
  • Control petty cash and ensure all payments are supported and duly approved.
  • Prepare petty cash recon for reimbursement and submit to senior managers for approval.
  • Ensure all records are kept and documents are neatly filed at all times.

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • 5 Acceptable O’levels or equivalent and either an accounting technician qualification or part qualified ACCA/CIMA/ZICA Qualification
  • 2 years’ experience working in the Accounts department of a manufacturing or retailing entity

The Required Attributes Include:

  • Critical contacts inside organization
  • Stores Assistant, Stocks Assistant, Stocks Accountant, Accounts Assistant, Cash
  • Accountant, Operations Accountant and Finance Manager.
  • Critical contacts inter-group
  • Intercompany Accountants, Group Payments Manager, Group Commercial Manager.
  • Critical contacts external communication
  • Suppliers
  • Supervisory / Managerial / Breadth: Requires a high degree of professional integrity and ability to critically evaluate entries in supplier sub-ledgers and ensuring that these are an accurate reflected in the form of age analysis.

4. STORES ASSISTANT – NOVATEK LUSAKA (1)

The Required Skills for this Role Include:

  • Issuing of parts from stores.
  • Sourcing Quotations from Suppliers
  • Generating Purchase Requisitions.
  • Monitoring stores stock levels
  • GRN’ing received parts in absentia of a Stores supervisor.
  • Preparing monthly sage evolution stores report.
  • GRN’ing received parts on time.
  • Record keeping.
  • Any other assigned duties.

The Required Qualifications are:

  • Grade 12 certificate
  • Diploma in Purchasing and supply
  • Two years of experience in Stores work

The Required Attributes Include:

  • Ability to work in pressured and deadline-driven operating environment
  • Ability to self-manage workload and work independently
  • Detail-orientated with the technical aptitude and ability to perform tasks accurately and comprehensively
