Programs Officer
We seek to hire a Programs Officer who will support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of projects and programs. Reporting to the Projects Coordinator, the role requires a proactive and organized individual with strong coordination and communication skills. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring programs deliver impact in line with organizational objectives.
Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the development of program proposals, work plans, and concept notes.
- Support day-to-day program implementation and logistical coordination.
- Liaise with beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth communication.
- Collect and organize program data for monitoring and evaluation.
- Contribute to regular program reports, case studies, and success stories.
- Support preparation of program-related budgets and expenditure tracking.
- Assist in stakeholder engagement, partner meetings, and advocacy efforts.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of program records.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Diploma or degree in Project Management, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or related field.
- At least 2 years’ experience in program implementation or project support.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Passion for community development and social impact.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an added advantage.
