Job Summary:
The HR Officer will be responsible for managing various human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with Zambian labor laws. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for creating a positive and fair workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Staffing: Manage the full recruitment cycle, from job postings and screening applications to conducting interviews and onboarding new employees.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, manage grievance procedures, and promote a positive work environment.
Performance Management: Assist in the implementation of performance appraisal systems and support managers in the performance review process.
Training and Development: Identify training needs and coordinate training programs to enhance employee skills and development.
Compensation and Benefits: Administer employee benefits programs and assist with payroll processing.
HR Administration: Maintain employee records and manage the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
Legal Compliance: Ensure all HR practices comply with Zambian labor laws, including the Employment Code Act No. 3 of 2019.
Qualifications and Skills:
Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
A valid practicing license from the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) is mandatory
Proven experience as an HR Officer or in a similar role.
In-depth knowledge of Zambian labor laws and HR best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite.
