Job Purpose
The Accountant will manage and oversee financial operations for both Bienvenue Private Security Ltd and Vozara Loans. This includes preparing accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, managing budgets, processing payroll, and providing financial insights to support business growth and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records for both companies, ensuring proper reconciliation of all transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts to ensure sound financial management.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Manage payroll processing for all employees in both companies.
- Prepare and file statutory returns, including VAT, PAYE, NAPSA, and corporate tax, ensuring compliance with Zambian regulations.
- Support management in financial planning, analysis, and cost control.
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Implement and maintain strong financial controls and procedures.
- Provide regular updates to management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ZICA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in security services, financial services, or related industries.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, Zambian tax laws, and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
