Position Overview:
The MEL Managers is responsible for establishing and managing a robust system to track MCI’s performance, demonstrate impact, and foster organizational learning. This role ensures that all programs are data-driven, accountable, and effectively contribute to the organization's strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the overall M&E framework for all MCI programs, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and data collection methods.
- Lead baseline studies, mid-term reviews, and end-of-project evaluations to assess program impact.
- Train program staff in data collection tools and MEL processes to ensure high-quality data.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to produce insightful reports for management and donors, informing strategic decisions.
- Facilitate learning sessions to document best practices, challenges, and adapt program strategies for greater effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
- A Master’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in designing and managing MEL systems for development or advocacy programs.
- Strong technical skills in data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, Stata, or similar) and experience with database management.
- Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and compelling narratives for different audiences.
- Experience in the extractives sector or on human rights issues is a significant advantage.
