Responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing construction & maintenance of road infrastructure. Ensure projects meet safety, quality, cost, and schedule targets.
Key Duties:
- Review & interpret engineering drawings, specs, and contract docs.
- Plan & schedule roadwork activities, resources, and timelines.
- Supervise site works – earthworks, grading, paving, drainage, and utilities.
- Conduct quality checks, material testing, and ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage project budget, cost control, and reporting.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, engineers, and local authorities.
- Maintain site documentation, logs, and HSE records.
- Resolve technical issues and implement design changes as needed.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering,
-Must be Registered Engineer with the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
-3 -5 years experience in managing the implementation of Performance-based contracts.
