Huachen International Supply Chain Limited seeks to employ three (03) Border/Customs Runners to be based in Nakonde, Kazungula and Chirundu Borders in the Bonded Warehouse Department to join our growing team.
POSITION: Border/Customs Runners – Nakonde Border (X1 – Full-time), Kazungula Border (X1 – Full-time), Chirundu Border (X1 – Full-time Paid per Entry)
DEPARTMENT: Bonded Warehouse
JOB PURPOSE
The primary objective of this position is to ensure the timely clearance of all company shipments and cargo.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow up with Customs officers on approval letters.
- Follow up with Customs officers on RO issuance and T1 registration.
- Coordinate documents with fleet drivers and other runners.
- Preparing and submitting all relevant truck import and export documents to ensure full compliance with local and cross-border authorities.
- Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or related field.
- Must reside near the borders in Nakonde, Kazungula and Chirundu.
- Minimum of 2 years’ extensive experience as a Border/Customs Runner.
- Must have established relationships with Customs officials.
- Works diligently, provides timely feedback, and remains reachable by phone unless network coverage is genuinely unavailable.
- Experience handling RIB bonded warehouse customs clearance running
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Proactive and hardworking attitude.
2. Must reside near the border area.
3. Willing to work overtime at night, as documents may need to be handed over to the fleet during evening hours.
4. Experience with ASYCUDA system operations is an advantage.
