FARM SUPERVISOR WANTED – MIXED FARM
Location: Luano District, Central Province
Farm Type: Mixed Farm Maize, Soya & Livestock
We are looking for a hard-working, honest and experienced Farm Supervisor to manage daily operations on a growing mixed farm in Luano, Central Province.
This is a hands-on position suited for someone who is disciplined, practical, mobile, and serious about farming as a long-term career.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise farm workers and all daily farm activities
- Plan and manage maize and soya production
- Oversee livestock care (feeding, health, housing)
- Organize and supervise land clearing activities
- Supervise ploughing using cattle/oxen
- Assign daily tasks and ensure work is done properly
- Keep simple records (attendance, inputs, production)
- Ensure proper use of seed, fertilizer, feed and equipment
- Maintain discipline and good work culture on the farm
- Move frequently using the farm motorbike to:
- Buy inputs and supplies
- Handle farm requirements
- Coordinate farm activities
- Report progress and challenges to the farm owner/CEO
- Send daily videos and updates to the CEO
- Write and send basic emails to the CEO when required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- At least 3 years practical farming experience
- Experience with maize and/or soya production
- Experience in land clearing and field preparation
- Must know how to use cattle/oxen for ploughing
- Basic knowledge of livestock management
- General Certificate in Agriculture or any related agricultural course
- Ability to supervise and control workers
- Honest, disciplined and reliable
- Able to live on or near the farm
- Able to write and send emails
- Able to record and send videos via smartphone
- Basic reading and writing skills (for record-keeping)
Formal education is an advantage, but practical experience is very important.
ADDED ADVANTAGE
- Applicants from Luano or Masansa will have an added advantage
- Prior experience working on farms in Central Province is an advantage
SALARY & BENEFITS
- Salary: Net K2,000.00 per month
- Accommodation:
- Temporary wooden house provided
- Permanent/fixed accommodation will be constructed as the farm grows (likely next year)
- Transport:
- A motorbike will be provided for farm duties and mobility
- The Supervisor will move frequently using the motorbike to meet farm needs
- Communication:
- The area currently has network challenges
- Starlink internet will soon be installed to improve communication and connectivity
IMPORTANT NOTICE
- This position is in a typica remote rural area
- Candidates must be comfortable living in a temporary wooden house
- Must be comfortable with limited network coverage until Starlink is installed
- Must be willing to move frequently using a motorbike for farm requirements
