DISTRIBUTION SUPERVISOR – (HUNTLEY FARM – CHISAMBA) (1)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Developing and implementing daily and weekly distribution schedules to ensure timely deliveries. Collaborate with internal departments (Retail, Production, and Transport) to ensure smooth order fulfilment and delivery processes. Oversee inventory movements to maintain accurate records and prevent shortages or excess stock.
- Planning and coordinating the transportation of cold chain products Collaborate with transport team, suppliers, and internal teams to optimize delivery routes and schedules. Oversee the loading and unloading processes to maintain product integrity.
- Establishing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cold chain management. Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements. Implement corrective actions for any deviations from temperature control standards.
- Ordering, Processing & Documentation: Reviewing and verifying dispatch paperwork, including invoices, delivery notes, and manifests. Ensure all orders are processed accurately and meet customer requirements before dispatch. Maintain comprehensive records of all distribution activities for audits and performance analysis.
- Risk Management: Identifying potential risks in the cold chain process and develop mitigation strategies. Respond to and resolve any issues or emergencies related to temperature control.
- Team Leadership and Performance Management: Supervising dispatch staff to ensure adherence to company protocols and timelines. Conduct training sessions for staff on distribution best practices and safety measures. Tracking distribution key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide reports to the Distribution Manager.
- Compliance and Reporting: Preparing and submitting daily, weekly and monthly reports on cold chain delivery performance, departure adherence, truck fill, order line fill completion and dispatch performance.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate with 5 credits.
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Certification in cold chain logistics is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cold chain management, logistics, or a related field. Experience in FMCG

Driver Trainer - Huntley Farm (01)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Preparing and teaching practical lessons that are tailored to meet all aspects of driving.
- Providing instruction on the parts and functions of a vehicle, and on-road regulations.
- Documenting and reporting on driver’s progress.
- Reporting all accidents and incidents to the logistics and workshop manager.
- Maintaining all Driver training folders and records on current drivers.
- Working with the logistics manager in selection and hiring new drivers.
- Conducting weekly tool box meeting with the drivers.
- Post-accident behind-the-wheel re-training.
- Maintaining updated driver training manuals and material related to transportation.
- Designing and implementing safety meetings under direction of Environmental safety manager and logistics Manager.
- Driving routes/field trips as needed.
- Performing all other duties assigned by the logistics Manager.
- Providing daily supervision of assigned drivers and monitors to ensure proper and consistent performance of duties.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Grade GCE/12 certificate
- At least a holder of a basic Driving License
- Valid Driving License for the level at which you will be teaching.
- Valid Driving Instructor's License or Certification.
- Proven experience as a driving instructor.
- Clear driving record.
The Required skills for the role Include:
- Good communication, customer service, and judgment skills.
- Excellent hearing and vision and in good physical condition.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time and adapt to changes in driving conditions
TRANSPORT CORDINATOR – HUNTLEY FARM (X1)
The Required Skills for this Role Include:
- Planning and coordinating daily transportation activities, ensuring timely deliveries and optimal routes.
- Scheduling vehicles based on available resources, demand, and delivery deadlines.
- Ensuring that the transport fleet is maintained and available for operations.
- Constantly monitoring on Geotab, V-track (ensuring vehicles arrive in time and use the agreed route of delivery and adherence to company procedures
- Daily accurate update of the Logistics attendance register
- Updating the network truck log sheet
- Ensuring that vehicles are compliant with safety and environmental regulations.
- Monitoring fuel usage and vehicle performance.
- Working hand in hand with the truck log officer on driver and vehicle availability
- Identifying underperforming vehicles and escalating (utilization)
- Posting the result on the trip review sheet
- Analyzing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Use GPS or routing software to ensure timely delivery.
- Coordinating with drivers for the assignment of transport tasks.
- Providing regular training to drivers on safe driving practices and the efficient use of vehicles
- Ensuring incidents are recorded and reported to Senior Supervisors
- Completion of trip review forms and escalation after analysis
- Accurately preparing journey management for all drivers and assignments
- Maintaining accurate records of transportation activities, including delivery schedules, vehicle maintenance, and driver logs
- Monitoring transportation costs and working to identify areas for cost savings.
- Ensuring that transport operations are within the company’s budget and cost-effective.
- Reporting and investigating any incidents or accidents related to transport activities.
The Required Qualifications are:
- Full Grade 12 Certificate
- Minimum Diploma in Logistics and Transport
- 2-5 years of experience in transportation coordination, logistics, or a related role.
- Must be computer literate
The Required Attributes Include:

- Must be computer literate
- Ability to deal with multiple priorities
- Must be familiar with Zambeef products and food industry business.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
