Department: Operations / Plaza Services
Location: Ndola, Kafulafuta
Job Purpose
To maintain cleanliness of lanes, structures, gardens, forecourts, and surrounding areas, and to assist with traffic control to ensure a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean lanes, booths, forecourts, roadside areas, drains, and structures.
- Maintain gardens through mowing, watering, weeding, planting, and landscaping.
- Collect and dispose of litter and waste; ensure proper waste segregation.
- Use and store tools, equipment, and chemicals safely and correctly.
- Report damaged equipment, hazards, and maintenance issues to supervisors.
- Assist with traffic control when required, ensuring correct use of cones and signage.
- Promote health, safety, and cleanliness at all times.
Skills and Competencies
· Knowledge of cleaning and gardening practices
· Ability to use basic equipment
· Strong safety awareness, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
· Self-management, ethical conduct, and quality orientation
Conditions of Service
· As per applicable organisational/public service conditions
· Subject to medical fitness and safety compliance
Requirements
· Minimum Grade 10 Certificate
· Valid Medical Fitness Certificate
· At least five (2) years’ experience in cleaning, gardening, or site maintenance
