About Winco Industries
Winco Industries is a Chinese manufacturing company currently establishing a new factory in Masaiti District near the Kafulafuta Toll Gate. As we expand our operations in Zambia, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to support both the construction phase and the long-term manufacturing operations of the factory.
Position Summary
The HR Manager will be responsible for leading and managing all human resources functions of the company. The successful candidate must have strong experience in recruiting for construction sites and manufacturing companies. The role requires a strategic thinker with hands-on HR experience, strong leadership ability, and thorough knowledge of Zambian labour laws.
Key Responsibilities
Lead full-cycle recruitment for construction workers, technical staff, and manufacturing employees.
Develop workforce plans to support both factory construction and operational phases.
Design and implement HR policies and procedures in line with Zambian labour laws.
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including NAPSA, NHIMA, Workers and other regulations.
Manage onboarding, contracts, employee records, and HR administration.
Handle employee relations matters including disciplinary procedures and conflict resolution.
Prepare HR reports and provide strategic HR advice to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or related field.
Able to speak Chinese (Optional)
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
Proven experience recruiting for construction sites and manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
Membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM) with a valid practicing certificate.
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Age between 30 and 48 years.
