VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
Luanshya Technical and Business College is a TEVET Institution under the Ministry of Technology and Science and overseen by the Management Board. The Board is now looking for sober, mature and qualified persons with a minimum age of 25 years to fill the following full-time vacancies:
1. PRODUCTION OFFICER
Reporting to: The Enterprise Manager
Job purpose
A dedicated and detail-oriented Production Officer and ideal candidate will oversee daily production activities, ensure quality standards are met, and coordinate with various departments to achieve operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, monitor, and control production schedules.
2. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
3. Supervise production staff and provide guidance.
4. Maintain accurate production records and reports.
5. Identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
1. Diploma/Degree in Production Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum 3 years’ experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
3. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
4. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
2. HEAD OF DEPARTMENT – ENGINEERING STUDIES
Reporting to: The Training Manager
Job purpose
To provide academic and administrative leadership to the Engineering Department, ensuring quality training delivery, compliance with standards and effective resource management.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide academic and administrative leadership to the Engineering Department;
2. Manage training delivery within the department;
3. Supervise Heads of Sections, lecturers, instructors, technical staff and students;
4. Coordinate curriculum delivery, assessment, and examinations;
5. Ensure compliance with TEVETA standards, other examining Bodies and industry requirements;
6. Ensure optimal utilization and safeguarding of training equipment and facilities;
7. Promote a safe, orderly and clean learning environment;
8. Ensure availability of training materials and resources.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field
2. Master’s Degree will be an added advantage
3. Minimum of seven (7) years’ teaching and/or relevant industry experience
4. Accreditation with TEVETA and membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)

3. MARKETING DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
Reporting to: The Head of Marketing
Job purpose
Responsible for identifying and pursuing new growth opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and enhancing the college's market presence.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement creative marketing strategies to attract prospective students and clients.
• Monitor and report marketing performance and ensuring enrolment targets are met.
• Plan and execute online and offline campaigns, including social media, events, and outreach programs.
• Build and maintain partnerships with schools, community organizations, government agencies and industry stakeholders.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
• Identify and research potential business opportunities and partnerships that align with the college's strategic goals.
• Execute short- and long-term strategic marketing plans that maximize the return on key program objectives. In addition, this role works across the college to develop strategies that broaden awareness/interest, increase applications and other products and services.
• Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on marketing development activities, achievements, and challenges.
• Develop and scheme strategies to generate college revenue and also enhance the College's brand presence in the TEVET sector.
• Identify and pursue grant opportunities, government funding, and other sources of financial support to supplement the college's budget.
Qualifications and Experience
1. Degree in Marketing/Business Administration or relevant field.
2. Proven experience (at least three years) in marketing, preferably in the education sector.
3. Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, multi-tasking, interpersonal skills, and web analytical skills.
4. Proficiency in digital Marketing tools and social media platforms.
5. Creative, self-motivated, and able to work under minimal supervision.
6. Creativity and commercial awareness with strategic vision and a sharp business acumen.
7. A team player with a customer-oriented approach.
