Position: Trainee Accountant
Contract: 6‑Months
Reporting Manager: Finance Manager
Location: Kasama District
We are seeking a motivated Trainee Accountant to join our Finance Department on a 6‑month training contract. The ideal candidate will be eager to build practical experience in accounting, financial reporting, and compliance within a dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and management reports
- Support month‑end and year‑end processes
- Perform reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
- Provide administrative and analytical support to the Finance Manager
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Finance and Accounting, ACCA, or an equivalent qualification
- Member of ZICA (Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software
