The Assistant Warehouse Supervisor supports the Warehouse Supervisor in managing daily operations, including receiving, storage, and distribution of pharmaceutical products. To ensure all activities comply with quality systems and safety regulations to guarantee product efficacy and patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
Oversee daily warehouse activities such as picking, packing, and dispatching orders within set timeframes.
Coordinate staff work allocations and lead daily kick-off meetings to meet productivity targets.
Supervise the offloading and loading of delivery vehicles.
Inventory & Quality Control:
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and physical audits.
Monitor warehouse conditions, including temperature and humidity logs, ensuring products requiring cold chain are correctly stored.
Manage stock according to the First Expiry First Out (FEFO) system to prevent product expiration.
Compliance & Documentation:
Ensure adherence to GMP/GDP guidelines and the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
Accurately maintain documentation such as stock cards, Goods Received Notes (GRNs), and batch number records.
Support regulatory inspections and internal/client audits.
Team Leadership:
Coach, train, and mentor warehouse staff on safety protocols and operational procedures.
Monitor team performance and provide input for personnel planning and evaluations.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 1–2 years in warehouse or logistics operations.
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a regulated environment (pharmaceutical, chemical, or FMCG).
Education:
Diploma in Pharmacy.
Skills:
Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) (e.g., SAP.
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations (OSHA/ISO).
