VOCATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY NOW OPEN
INVITATION FOR APPLICATIONS
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Chiefdom residents who meet the minimum requirements outlined below to apply for a Vocational Training Scholarship Programme for the 2026 academic year at a reputable Zambian TEVET-accredited college within Muchinga, Northern and Eastern Provinces
About the Project
The North Luangwa Conservation Programme (NLCP) is a partnership programme with the Zambian Government through the Department of National Parks and Wildlife (DNPW). NLCP’s mission of linking livelihoods and landscapes is central to the work of its workforce and partners within the North Luangwa Landscape, ensuring its security and sustainability.
With support from the Light Foundation, NLCP seeks to improve the livelihoods of marginalised resident custodians from Chikwa, Chifunda and Nabwalya Chiefdoms through the provision of Vocational Training Scholarships aimed at enhancing educational outcomes in the landscape.
About the Position
Objective
The main objective of this scholarship is to improve the well-being of the local communities through Vocational skills development/training.
Specific Area for Support
The scholarship will support the following short courses:
- Hotel Management (Hospitality), Mechanics, Electrical Engineering, Plumbing, Entrepreneurship / Business Management, Brick Laying, Carpentry and Joinery, Heavy Duty Operations, First Aid, ICT, Coded Welding, Automotive Mechanics / Electrical, Metal Fabrication, Driving, Tour Guide, etc.
Your Profile
Eligibility
Eligible applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Zambian citizen with a Green National Registration Card
- Bonafide Resident of Nabwalya or Chikwa, or Chifunda Chiefdoms
- School leavers/volunteers with a full grade 12 school certificate
- 35 years old or below
- Candidate willing to serve in the landscape
- Full grade 12 certificate with 5 O-level credits or better in English and Mathematics

Method of Application
Applicants should submit the following:
- An application letter responding to the advertisement
- Certified photocopy of grade 12 school results or certificate
- A recommendation letter from the head of the institution if you are volunteering
- A photocopy of the candidate’s NRC and parents’ or guardians’ NRCs
- A photocopy of an admission letter from a reputable TEVET College is desirable if available
