Job Description:
• To report to the Maintenance Officer and to work as part of the staff team at the college• To adhere to all policies and procedures across Mechanics for Africa
• To take responsibility for all assigned maintenance works in allocated areas and ensure that the works are completed as agreed with your supervisor. This includes plumbing, electricals, grounds/gardens and general work as directed.
• To maintain high standards of work and to act with professionalism and integrity at all times and to show the working of Christian values in your life• To teach, when asked appropriate skills to students in accordance with your competence.
• To be alert at all times to possible dangerous situations or practices and to undertake all appropriate and reasonable action to prevent accidents.• To take appropriate action in the case of an accident occurring, ensuring all accidents are reported and recorded.
• To promote a culture of safety at all times, including applying the safe and correct use of all tools and equipment.
• To work together with other departmental staff in creating and maintaining departmental budgets and to ensure financial processes and procedures are followed for purchasing and retirement of receipts.
Qualifications
- Applicants must have a certificate in Mechanical engineering or anything related.
- Must be Zambians with NRC.
- must be a Christian
- Understanding of safeguarding, gender awareness, and student health needs.
- Organisational skills to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters.
