Job Summary

We are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Environmental Safeguards Officer to ensure that all company projects and operations comply with environmental regulations and sustainability standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in minimizing environmental impact and promoting responsible resource management.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, and standards
Conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and environmental audits
Develop and implement environmental management plans (EMPs)
Monitor project activities to ensure adherence to environmental safeguards
Identify potential environmental risks and recommend mitigation measures
Prepare environmental reports and documentation for regulatory authorities
Promote environmental awareness and sustainability practices within the organization
Liaise with government agencies, stakeholders, and communities on environmental matters
Monitor waste management, pollution control, and resource utilization
Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resource Management, Natural Sciences, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance standards
Experience in Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and audits
Good report writing and data analysis skills
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
