Programme Overview
Mooto Holdings invites applications from highly motivated and recently graduated Bachelor of Medicine (MBChB) holders to join its Public Health & Medical Fellowship Programme.
This is a 6-month, full-time, non-stipend-based fellowship designed to equip young medical graduates with practical experience in public health programming, medical research, and donor-funded project development.
Fellows will be integrated into Mooto’s development finance ecosystem, supporting the design and implementation of health and medical projects, while gaining hands-on experience in proposal writing for international donors.
Top-performing fellows will be considered for paid, project-based consultancy roles within Mooto Holdings’ growing portfolio of funded initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of concept notes and proposals for donor-funded health and public health projects
- Conduct research and data analysis on health systems, disease burden, and intervention strategies
- Contribute to the design of community health and public health programmes
- Participate in ongoing health-related projects and field activities (where applicable)
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Mooto Holdings’ project portfolio
- Assist in preparing technical reports, briefs, and presentations
Learning & Development Areas
Fellows will receive structured exposure to:
- Public health systems and programming
- Global health funding mechanisms (WHO, UNICEF, EU, etc.)
- Proposal and grant writing for development finance
- Monitoring, evaluation, and health impact assessment
- Health innovation and project design
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBChB) or equivalent
- Recent graduate (or within early career stage)
- Strong interest in public health, research, and development work
- Excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a structured, professional environment
- High level of commitment and willingness to learn
Programme Conditions (Important)
- This is a non-stipend-based fellowship
- Fellows will be provided with accommodation at Mooto College of Business
- Fellows must have access to a functional personal laptop/computer
- Fellows are required to bring:
- A single bed mattress
- Personal bedding
- Personal cooking utensils (self-catering facilities available)
- Fellows will be expected to reside on-site and participate fully in programme activities
