PROJECT MANAGER - Lusaka
Job Purpose
The Project Manager will ensure the project complies with the standard systems and procedures for implementation at all levels to achieve results and impact.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning and reporting
- Supervise WASH Project Team staff and oversee their performance
- Supervise implementation of project activities
- Coordinate management of work contracts
- Lead partnership engagements
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree in any Social Science preferably Public Health, Development Studies or Sociology with experience in M&E, advocacy and institutional strengthening
- Must have at least a minimum of 5+ years’ experience of Programme/Project Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation with an international NGO
- Must have proven Project Management experience in WASH projects
PROJECT ENGINEER - Lusaka
Job Purpose
The Project Engineer will lead the preparation and development of tender documents for technical works, lead operation and maintenance planning and implementation, and supervise works.
Summary of Key Duties:
- Advise on tendering requirements and specifications for hardware works
- Develop O&M Plans and modules
- Lead training of Village Management Committees, Care Takers and Pump Menders in O&M
- Coordinate financial training and record keeping for VMCs’ O&M activities
- Supervise project construction works
- Advise the Project Committee and Programme Committee on technology standards to adopt and practices to apply
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Water Engineering preferably civil engineering
- Must have at least a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in water and civil engineering
- Must have proven water engineering experience in WASH projects with an international NGO
MEAL OFFICER - Lusaka
Job Purpose
The MEAL Officer will support the development and implementation of quality program monitoring and evaluation systems, frameworks, methodologies, tools, analysis, and reporting, in line with the set MEAL requirements.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Lead documentation of feature stories, case studies, fact sheets, Stories of Change etc.
- Lead data collection, compilation, analysis and use
- Build capacities of team members in basic M&E, monitor project activities and use of data collection tools including kobo forms
- Support project assessments, surveys and research activities
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Demography, Social Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, Agriculture, Economics, or other fields related to Monitoring and Evaluation with research experience
- Must have at least 3-5 years’ experience of Monitoring and Evaluation including with an international NGO
- Proven exposure to data analysis packages like SPSS
- Must have proven Monitoring and Evaluation experience for WASH projects.
- Demonstrate expertise in rigorous quantitative and qualitative research.
PROJECT COORDINATOR - Chikankata District
Job Purpose
The Project Coordinator will ensure the project complies with the standard systems and procedures for implementation at all levels to achieve results and impact.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Lead project planning and reporting
- Oversee project performance
- Identify training needs for Community Health Workers’, train and coordinate their tasks
- Conduct and facilitate individual and group counselling sessions for adolescents and youths
- Document stories of change
- Prepare and submit monthly budgets and quarterly projections
- Collect and update project data in line with tola-data requirements and KOGE indicators.
- Identify training needs of key project stakeholders namely, parents, youths and adolescents, RHC staff and facilitate trainings
Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s degree in public health with experience youth reproductive health initiatives and M&E
- Must have at least a minimum of 5+ years’ experience of Project Planning, Coordination, Monitoring and Evaluation with an international NGO
- Must have experience in riding a motorbike with a clean valid licence
- Must have proven project coordination/management experience for WASH projects
HYGIENE PROMOTION SPECIALIST - Lusaka
Job Purpose
The Hygiene Promotion Specialist will lead hygiene behaviour change interventions in communities and institutions.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Develop hygiene promotion strategy
- Develop a Sanitation Marketing Strategy
- Identify and propose interventions for hygiene promotion in communities, schools and HCFs
- Lead training of hygiene promoters, Community Champions, WASH Clubs and MHM Committees in participatory hygiene promotion approaches
- Coordinate with the MEAL Officer to conduct school WASH mapping activities
- Coordinate implementation of MHM and sanitation marketing activities
- Monitor and document adoption of positive hygiene behaviour
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health with experience in applying participatory health and hygiene education approaches.
- Must have at least a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in hygiene promotion and behaviour change interventions with an international NGO
- Must be conversant with existing synergies among Ministries of Health, Education and Local Government to facilitate change
- Must have experience in hygiene promotion for WASH projects.
ADVOCACY & CAPACITY STRENGTHENING SPECIALIST - Lusaka
Job Purpose
The Advocacy & Capacity Strengthening Specialist will lead partnership building, represent the organization in advocacy engagements, and strengthen institutional capacities at district and sub-district levels.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Lead systems strengthening with local partners, particularly at the District Level
- Lead partnership engagements with Local Authorities and the Commercial Utility
- Lead advocacy engagements in collaboration with CSOs and other NGOs
- Support Local Authorities to develop IMS, Integrated District Plans and budgets
- Lead all capacity building activities in the project
- Lead formation and training of governance structures at district and sub-district levels (WASH Rights Groups)
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Science preferably Social Work, Sociology or Development Studies
- Must have at least a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in advocacy programmes/initiatives, capacity and partnership building with an international NGO
- Must have proven exposure to local governance structures and systems
- Must have experience in advocacy and capacity strengthening in WASH projects
COMMUNITY FACILITATOR INTERN X 2 - Siavonga & Kafue
Job Purpose
The Community Facilitator will coordinate the implementation and monitoring of project activities in the assigned regions/towns.
Summary of Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project activities
- Facilitate community meetings
- Support head office staff organise meetings and field visits
- Assist with supervision of contractors
- Document project activities
- Schedule and confirm appointments with district and sub-district partners
- Reporting
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or Advanced Certificate in Social Work, Development Studies or Social Work
- Must have experience in community development and community engagement
