ACADEMIC & ADMINISTRATIVE POSITIONS

1. Deputy Vice Chancellor

Applicants must possess:

A PhD from a recognized university in a relevant discipline.
At least the Academic rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
A strong record of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
Demonstrated success in securing research grants and managing research projects.
Extensive experience in University Teaching, Research, and Academic administration.
Evidence of leadership in research, Innovation, Postgraduate supervision, and Academic programme development.
ZAQA verification of Academic qualifications.
Membership in relevant professional bodies where applicable.

Experience

A minimum of ten (10) years of university teaching and research experience.
At least five (5) years of senior Academic leadership experience, such as Dean, Director, Head of Department, Research Coordinator, or equivalent.
Proven experience in strategic planning, policy development, and institutional management.

HR administration, recruitment, employee records management, and staff welfare coordination.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS (ALL LECTURING POSITIONS)

Applicants for lecturing positions must:

Hold a Master’s Degree or higher qualification in the relevant field.
Possess a Teaching Methodology qualification or equivalent pedagogical training.
Be verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
Demonstrate competence in curriculum development, lecturing, and student assessment.
Have strong communication, research, and ICT skills.
