Lolebezi Safari Lodge, a luxury safari destination nestled deep in the heart of the Lower Zambezi National Park, is seeking an experienced and passionate HVAC Technician to join our dynamic team. Position : HVAC Technician
Reports to: Head of Maintenance
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing routine maintenance
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Requirements:
- Full Grade 12 certificate
- Diploma in refrigeration and air-conditioning, electrical engineering or the equivalent; a higher qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years’ working experience as an electrician and refrigeration technician.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must be a member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia.
Required attributes
- Good knowledge of HVAC systems
- Ability to thrive in a remote location with limited access to urban amenities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player.
Please Note: This role is based in a remote safari location with limited connectivity and access to urban conveniences. Candidates must be comfortable with living and working in such conditions for extended periods.
