We are seeking an enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to inspire students from Grade 7 through Grade 12. You will blend engaging design theory with hands-on workshop expertise. We need a specialist who can confidently guide middle schoolers through foundational skills and mentor high schoolers in advanced manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach D&T curricula across middle and high school levels (Grades 7–12).
- Deliver theory lessons covering material science, engineering drawing, and design history.
- Lead practical sessions in fully equipped school workshop environments.
- Prepare older students for senior design projects and practical examinations.
- Ensure workshop safety by enforcing strict health and safety protocols.
- Maintain equipment and manage material stock levels for student projects.
Required Skills & Experience
- Teaching Credential: Degree in Education, D&T, Engineering, or equivalent qualification.
- Metal Fabrication: Proficient in welding, cutting, shaping, and joining metals.
- Woodworking: Expert in hand tools, power tools, precision joinery, and timber properties.
- Electrical Principles: Able to teach basic circuitry, soldering, and electronics safely.
- Safety Certified: Valid certification to operate and teach workshop machinery.
