About The Role: To deliver practical and theoretical training in inspection, diagnostics, remanufacturing and OEM rebuild standards to trainees.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop structured lesson plans and training materials to support component remanufacturing and related technical processes
• Deliver classroom and workshop-based training covering teardown, inspection, cleaning, machining, non-destructive testing (NDT), metrology, assembly, testing, quality assurance, and documentation
• Facilitate training on remanufacturing processes, including technical drawing interpretation, precision measurement, failure analysis, root cause analysis, OEM rebuild standards, and continuous improvement practices
• Conduct assessments and maintain compliance documentation.
• Support development of laboratories and simulators. • Ensure regulatory and safety compliance.
• Train apprentices in inspection methodologies including visual inspection, dimensional verification, wear analysis and failure identification.
• Guide apprentices in the application of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) methods and interpretation of inspection result
• Demonstrate machining, restoration and repair processes used to restore components to OEM specifications
• Supervise troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Guide apprentices in root cause analysis methodologies and the identification of failure mechanisms
• Ensure apprentices maintain accurate remanufacturing records, inspection reports, quality documentation and traceability requirements
• Promote adherence to OEM remanufacturing standards, quality systems and continuous improvement practices
• Coordinate closely with workplace mentors to support on-the-job learning. • Review and validate apprentice logbooks and workplace evidence.
• Participate in apprentice progress and review meetings.
• Design and conduct formative and summative assessments.
• Maintain accurate assessment and training records.
• Participate in moderation processes, audits, and accreditation reviews.
• Coach and develop apprentices and trainees.
• Supervise workshop-based practical training.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Assess competence against defined standards.
About The Work Environment
• Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:00 hours to 16:00 hours.
• Training workshops & Laboratories
• Occasional outdoor or Industrial partner facilities
• Exposure to heavy equipment and outdoor field work. •
Standing and supervising trainees for extended periods
Educational Qualifications
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• Diploma - Teaching Methodology

Experience
• Minimum 6 years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Minimum 1-year instructional experience.
