J&J Transport Zambia Limited is growing and seeking experienced, committed, and proactive professionals to join our dynamic teams in Ndola and Lusaka.
Position Summary
The Operations Assistant(s) are responsible for assisting in all aspects of J&J Transport Ltd import and export operations, problem resolution, related customer issues, driver management, breakdown facilitation and accident facilitation.
Key Responsibilities - not limited to:
- Client Updates & Tracking – track the movement of cargo and keep clients well informed of any challenges in transit.
- The Delivery Control - monitor the movement and delivery of loads coming into Zambia.
- Driver Management - to assist in the effective management of all J&J Transport driver related issues.
- Administrative Duties - accurately and correctly file any relative information.
- Real-time Accurate FMS/ME Updates – regularly update the fleet management system and magic eye with accurate real time driver and fleet information.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Transport and Logistics, Clearing and Forwarding, Supply Chain Management, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an international transport or logistics company
- Age: 28 years and above
- Skills: Proactive problem-solving, initiative-driven, and adaptable to dynamic work environments
- Availability: Willingness to work weekends and rotational public holidays as needed
- Professional Membership: Valid practicing certificate and membership with relevant bodies (ZCILT)
- Personal Attributes:
- Strong organizational and coordination skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
