JOB OPPORTUNITIES – BRICKLAYERS & STEEL FIXERS
Silverline Engineering Limited is a growing construction company seeking competent, experienced, and hardworking individuals to join our construction team.
1. BRICKLAYERS / MASONS
Key Responsibilities:
- Construct brick and block walls according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Carry out masonry, plastering, pointing, and related works.
- Ensure walls are straight, level, plumb, and properly aligned.
- Prepare and use mortar correctly.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and quality.
- Minimize material wastage and properly care for company tools.
- Work effectively with other construction teams.
- Comply with all health, safety, and site regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bricklayer/Mason.
- Knowledge of bricklaying and blockwork.
- Ability to read basic construction drawings is an advantage.
- Good measuring and setting-out skills.
- Physically fit and able to work on construction sites.
- Good discipline, teamwork, and commitment to safety.
2. STEEL FIXERS
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, bend, position, and tie reinforcement steel according to approved drawings.
- Fix reinforcement for foundations, columns, beams, slabs, walls, and other structures.
- Ensure correct bar sizes, spacing, laps, bends, and concrete cover.
- Read and follow reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules.
- Safely operate steel cutting and bending tools.
- Coordinate with carpenters, concrete workers, engineers, and other trades.
- Maintain good quality workmanship and minimize steel wastage.
- Follow all health, safety, and site regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer.
- Good knowledge of reinforcement steel fixing.
- Ability to measure, cut, bend, and tie reinforcement bars.
- Ability to read basic structural drawings is an advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of manual construction work.
- Good discipline, teamwork, attention to detail, and safety awareness.
