Business Strategy and Development Lead

We’re an established Zambian business group launching two new ventures, and we’re looking for a strategy lead to take them from idea to launch.
What you’ll do
- Shape the strategy and business model for two early-stage ventures
- Research markets, competitors, pricing and regulations
- Build financial models and test whether the businesses are viable
- Find and negotiate with suppliers and partners.
- Plan and run pilot projects, and turn the results into clear decisions
- Lead a small team.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years in strategy, business development, consulting or starting a business
- A degree in business, economics, finance or a related field
- Strong financial modelling and Excel skills
- Clear writing, with the ability to turn research into decisions
- Comfortable working in the field and with people at every level, from community traders to corporate partners
- Experience in retail, FMCG distribution, logistics or the Zambian informal market is a plus
- Fluent English; Nyanja or Bemba is an advantage
