The Netherlands Red Cross Society has provided financial support to the Zambia Red Cross Society to strengthen disaster preparedness, anticipation, and response capacities in five districts of Zambia: Kalabo, Choma, Sinazongwe, Gwembe, and Siavonga. The funding is being implemented through complementary projects, namely Response Preparedness 3 (RP3), Chronic Crisis, and Tree Planting.
The Chronic Crisis Project is a two-year resilience and humanitarian response initiative funded bilaterally by the Netherlands Red Cross and implemented by the Zambia Red Cross Society in Kalabo, Choma, and Sinazongwe districts. Running from January 2025 to December 2026, the project seeks to improve the well-being and resilience of approximately 225,645 vulnerable people affected by drought and other climate-related hazards.
The project combines immediate humanitarian assistance with measures that strengthen longer-term community resilience. Its integrated approach encompasses Food Security and Livelihoods; Health and Nutrition; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH); and Disaster Risk Reduction and Preparedness. Protection, Gender and Inclusion; Community Engagement and Accountability; and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support are mainstreamed across all project components to promote inclusive, accountable, and sustainable results.
Conditions for submission of offers:
The would-be consultant is expected to submit to ZRCS the following in view of the Selection/Evaluation process.
o Expression of Interest.
o Technical proposal describing how evaluation should be carried out.
o Financial proposal (consultancy fees)- Budget.
o List of the previous studies/research developed by her/him, including the link to be able to review them (if this is already included in the CV, it wouldn’t be necessary to attach it separately)
o Valid tax clearance, valid up to December 2026
o PACRA print out
o Latest 3 months bank statements
o Evidence of Affiliation with Necessary Regulatory Bodies
Validity: your offer must remain valid for 60 days before which a contract, if placed, should be accepted by your firm

SEALED AND CLEARLY MARKED BIDS WITH TENDER ZRCS/ZRCS/NLRC/CC-EL/2026 NUMBER MUST BE SUBMITTED IN THE TENDER BOX AT THE RECEPTION. ELECTONIC BIDS SUBMITTED BEFORE THE DEALINE SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED.
