Job Purpose
- To oversee the daily care and management of goats, ensuring their health, safety, and productivity in a structured livestock environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily health, feeding, and watering of goats
- Collect grass daily for goat grazing
- Ensure the goat shed is clean, organized, and protected from predators
- Report any illnesses, injuries, or unusual behavior promptly
- Assist during breeding, birthing, and weaning processes
- Administer medication and basic veterinary care as instructed
- Maintain accurate herd records (births, deaths, sales, etc.)
- Safeguard farm tools, equipment, and feed stocks
Requirements
- Proven experience in animal care or livestock management (goats preferred).
- Knowledge of common goat illnesses and basic treatment methods
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Honest, reliable, and punctual.
