Job Purpose
To provide timely and accurate financial information, analysis and insights that support strategic decision making. The management Accountant oversees budgeting, cost management, financial planning and internal controls to ensure efficient financial performance of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Planning & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Analyse variances between actual and budgeted performance and provide insights.
- Conduct cost–benefit, profitability, and trend analyses to support strategic decisions.
2. Reporting
- Produce management reports with clear commentary and recommendations.
- Present performance reports to senior management and department heads.
- Maintain dashboards, KPIs, and other internal reporting tools.
3. Cost & Performance Management
- Monitor cost structures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Perform product costing, margin analysis, and pricing support.
- Assist in improving financial controls and operational efficiency.
4. Internal Controls & Compliance
- Support development and enforcement of financial policies and internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company procedures.
- Assist with audits and ensure proper documentation.
5. Business Partnering
- Collaborate with operations, sales, and other departments to provide financial insights.
- Support strategic planning, investment decisions, and business cases.
- Advise management on financial implications of business activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., CMA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
- Ability to present complex financial data clearly.
