Role Overview
The Guest Relations Manager is responsible for ensuring outstanding guest experiences at The David Livingstone Safari Lodge & Spa. This role is guest-facing, dynamic, and service-driven, focusing on personalized hospitality, service recovery, and brand representation in a luxury safari lodge environment.
The successful candidate will act as the main point of contact for guests, host site inspections and FAM trips, and create engaging guest-experience content in support of the lodge’s marketing efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver warm, professional, and personalized service to all guests, with special attention to VIPs and repeat guests.
- Engage with guests throughout their stay to anticipate needs and exceed expectations.
- Handle guest complaints and service recovery promptly and professionally.
- Host and coordinate site inspections for tour operators, travel agents, and partners.
- Plan and host Familiarisation (FAM) trips in line with sales and marketing objectives.
- Capture and create social media content showcasing guest experiences (with guest consent).
- Work closely with all departments to ensure seamless guest service delivery.
- Collect and respond to guest feedback and online reviews.
- Promote lodge facilities, activities, and services to enhance the guest experience.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Marketing or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in guest relations, front office, or a similar hospitality role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confident, well-presented, and guest-focused.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with hotel systems.
