Skills to Live Zambia (S2LZ) is a locally registered non-governmental organisation committed to empowering vulnerable youth through Technical Education, Vocational and Entrepreneurship Training (TEVET), life skills, and work-readiness programmes.
The organisation operates a Skills Training Centre in Lilayi, Lusaka, and invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following trainer positions:
1. FOOD PRODUCTION TRAINER (POSITIONS)
Duty Station:
Skills to Live Zambia Training Centre – Lilayi, Lusaka
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver competency-based Food Production and Catering training in line with TEVETA-approved curricula
- Facilitate both theoretical and practical training sessions
- Prepare lesson plans, training materials, and assessment tools
- Conduct learner assessments and maintain accurate training records
- Mentor trainees in employability, entrepreneurship, and work readiness
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health standards
- Participate in programme monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- TEVETA-accredited Trainer in Food Production / Catering
- Minimum one (1) year verifiable training or relevant industry experience
- Strong practical competence in food preparation, baking, and catering operations
- Experience working with youth, including vulnerable groups
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- At least two (2) traceable professional referees
2. ADVANCED DIGITAL SKILLS TRAINER (2 POSITIONS)
Duty Station:
Skills to Live Zambia Training Centre – Lilayi, Lusaka
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver competency-based advanced digital and ICT skills training to youth in a TEVET environment
- Facilitate both theoretical and practical training sessions
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, training materials, and assessment tools
- Train learners in:
- Digital literacy and productivity tools
- Computer applications and basic ICT systems
- Introduction to software applications, coding concepts, and digital platforms
- Graphic design and visual content creation
- Conduct learner assessments and maintain accurate training records
- Mentor trainees in employability, entrepreneurship, and work readiness
- Support learners to apply digital skills for employment, freelancing, and self-employment
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of ICT and digital training equipment
- Participate in programme monitoring, evaluation, and reporting activities
- Comply with organisational safeguarding, child protection, and code of conduct policies
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
- Computer Science
- Software Engineering
- Computer Engineering
- Information Systems
- Digital Media or related fields
- Teaching Methodology qualification (Teaching Certificate, Diploma in Education, or equivalent)
- Minimum one (1) year relevant training, teaching, or industry experience
- Strong practical ICT and digital skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver hands-on, practical digital skills training
- Experience in graphic design, digital marketing, or software applications is an added advantage
- Familiarity with tools such as Adobe Suite, CorelDRAW, Canva, Figma, or similar is an added advantage
- Experience working with youth, particularly in a TEVET or skills-based training environment
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- At least two (2) traceable professional referees

- Strong commitment to youth empowerment and skills development
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to comply with organizational safeguarding, child protection, and code of conduct policies
