Key Duties & Responsibilities
Monitoring & Surveillance: Continuously watch live and recorded video feeds, controlling cameras (pan, tilt, zoom) to observe activities.
Incident Response
Promptly report, log, and provide clear descriptions of incidents, suspicious behavior, or emergencies to management/police/emergency services.
Record Keeping
Accurately log all events, actions, calls, and maintain up-to-date logs for handover to the next shift.
Equipment Management
Operate, maintain, and report faults for all CCTV/control room equipment (monitors, radios, databases).
Communication
Provide efficient radio/telephone services and manage visitor enquiries.
Evidence Management
Securely store, retrieve, and provide video footage as evidence, following strict procedures.
Compliance & Security:
Adhere to operating procedures, maintain control room security, and follow codes of conduct.
Essential Skills
Attention to Detail: Crucial for spotting subtle issues.
Observation & Concentration: Ability to focus for long periods.
