Qualification: At leastGrade 12
Experience: 5-10 years plus of overall experience. Candidates with at least 2 years of field experience in the exploration/mining sector will be preferred.
Job Description:
- Safely operate the assigned vehicle to transport staff, visitors, goods or equipment to designated locations on time.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules, obey all traffic laws, road signs and speed limits and practise defensive driving at all times.
- Assist with loading and off‑loading luggage, materials or cargo, ensuring items are properly handled and secured.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip checks (tyres, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, tools) and promptly report any faults, accidents or fines to the supervisor.
- Keep the vehicle clean, roadworthy and serviced on schedule and maintain accurate logs for mileage, fuel, destinations and maintenance.
- Demonstrate professional behaviour: punctuality, proper dress, courtesy, confidentiality and respectful interaction with staff, clients and the public.
- Adhere to all company transport policies, security procedures and incident reporting requirements.
- Support basic administrative tasks linked to transport, such as submitting trip reports, fuel receipts and service documents and following instructions from the line manager or logistics/transport officer.
- Oversee administrative support as and when required.
Remuneration will be based on the candidate’s experience and competency as per requirements in the JD.
